SDO15588 - Vindelis Court Desktop Assessment and Field Evaluation

A desktop assessment was commissioned by Synergy Housing Group Ltd as part of the planning process for a proposed housing development. A site visit took place and records were studied concerning the archaeology of Portland and borehole data and field evaluation took place. There was evidence of numerous burials near to the proposed site. An evaluation trench revealed no archaeological remains and the report concluded that the likelihood of burials being disturbed by the development was very low and that no further archaeological intervention was required.
