Author/Originator | Gent, T, and Manning, P |
Date/Year | 2012 |

Abstract/Summary
The assessment was carried out to determine the potential archaeological implications of a proposed solar energy farm in relation to the application for planning consent. Two heritage assets were identified within the proposed site, the former position of a gibbet and fields possibly associated with a brickworks and two scheduled barrows lying close to the boundary. Although no physical impact on the mounds and ditches would result from the proposals, there may be potential for buried features or deposits to survive . There would also be a significant impact on the settings of the monuments.
