Abstract/Summary
Protective works to the Duck Decoy and the southern range of its dry stone wall were observed intermittently. The works to the decoy pond afforded no facility for meaningful observation but the works to the enclosure wall allowed its profile and bearing strata to be investigated. The report concluded that the wall was of mid 17th century constructoin with localised repairs and that it was built on a drier landscape than at present.
