SDO15337 - Archaeological Evaluation on Land to R/O Yorke House, Weston Road, Portland

Archaeological evaluation was undertaken in December 2010 by means of excavation of four machine trenches. No archaeological features or deposits were present in the sampled area; unstratified finds were very infrequesnt and are considered insignificant. There is no indication of domestic or any other use of the area of proposed development with the exception of rare residual lithics found prior to consruction of Yorke House in 1904.
