SDO15281 - Revised Summary Report on the Results of an Archeological Evaluation at Windmill Riding Stables

This report describes the results of a pre-planning archeological evaluation undertaken at Windmill Riding stables, on land immediately Southeast of the Southwell Business Park, Portland. The archeological evaluation was carried out at the proposed development site centred at NGR SY 68250 69816 between 23rd and 26th May 2009. The aim of the evaluation was to elucidate the character, distribution, extent , importance and state of preservation of any archeological remains within the site. The initial results of the work are described in an erlier summary report, Ref SDO 12384, dated May 2009. This revised summary report documents the results of the archeological evaluation and includes a Worked Stone Report by Julian Richards dated 14th October 2009.
