Author/Originator | Taylor, A and Wallis, S |
Date/Year | 2006 |

Abstract/Summary
OASIS: A 34-trench evaluation of an ara of around 5ha revealed pits, ditches, gullies and a deposit of cremation pyre debris; none of the features is well dated but some pits are early Roman and one may be Neolithic. As the site is next to the probable line of a Roman road, other features might be Roman. Small quantities of prehistoric pottery, and latest Iron Age/earliest Roman pottery were present, with a smal colection of prehistoric struck flint.
