Abstract/Summary
‘In June 2006, Terrain Archaeology carried out an archaeological evaluation of the proposed site of the haul road for a projected new stone mine at Jordan’s Quarry, Portland, Dorset (NGR SY68807208). Three trenches were excavated between Wide Street and the western limits of the existing disused Jordan’s Quarry. No archaeological features or deposits were encountered. A sparse scatter of worked chert was recovered.’
