Abstract/Summary

'A monitoring and recording exercise was understaken by Arrowhead Archaeology in May 2015 on the removal of a block of concrete and subsequent reinstatement with rubber matting and turf in the northwest corner of the Scheduled Area, beside the site entrance from Weymouth Avenue. The area was archaeologically sterile: the concrete and underying sand and stone aggregate had been laid to fill a hole caused in the past by vehicular access. The aggregate was left in situ below 120mm, and this was surrounded by topsoil. There were no finds.'
