Title | The Archaeological Evaluation of a Proposed Residential Development at The Manor House, Bradford Peverell, Dorset |
Author/Originator | Dodd, J, and Cox, P |
Date/Year | 1994 |

Abstract/Summary
‘An archaeological field evaluation was carried out on this site and comprised the mechanical excavation of four trenches and two trial pits, with a total length of 54 metres. No archaeological sites or finds are recorded directly within the application area, although the site lies around the Manor House and a portion of the Roman aqueduct to Dorchester lies uphill beyond the south boundary of the site. The trenches failed to reveal any evidence for substantial activity on the site, but several features and structural remains, some of which can be dated to the post-Medieval period, were located on the street frontage.’
