'This conservation Management Plan has been prepared for West Dorset County Council as part of the documentation for a Heritage Lottery Fund bid for the Shire Hall, High West Street Dorchester. This document is a development of the 2012 Conservations Statement. It incoporates the results of joinery analysis and reference to a paint analysis, which is available as a separate document. Appendix One provides a gazeteer of the exterior and interior of Shire Hall. Policies in this document asddress identified risks and opportunities . They cover ownership, management and uses, including risks associated with new uses; boudaries, statutary controls, resources, contents the fabric of the building, neighbours, records and the Quarter Session Collection.'
