Abstract/Summary
‘In January 1995 Wessex Archaeology was commissioned to conduct an archaeological evaluation of land to the east of a house known as ‘Cherry Orchard’, which is situated in Harman’s Cross, near Swanage, Dorset. This parcel of land had been made the subject of a planning application, requesting permission for the construction of a house. The evaluation consisted of the hand excavation of two 1m2 trial pits within the area of proposed development, neither of which found any archaeological features, deposits, or material finds.’
