Abstract/Summary

Report comprises a preliminary desk-based assessment (historic mapping and cartographic sources) of land in Church Knowle, East Holme, Steepleton and Wareham Holy Trinity parishes, undertaken by AC Archaeology in relation to proposed mineral extraction around Dorey's Farm, East Holme. Dorset County Council's Archaeology Service had requested the work to assist in designing an evaluation strategy for the site. Tha assessment identified no specific features of archaeological or historic importance requiring targetted trenching, and a recommendation was made to implement the pre-existing proposed evaluation trenching plan.
