SDO13966 - Dorchester First School - the Iron Age Farmstead: An Interim Statement

The report presents a summary of the background, results, interpretation and potential of the site. At the time of writing the site had been topsoil-stripped to expose a Late Iron Age or Early Roman sub-rectilinear ditched enclosure surrounding a putative courtyard , possible building remains or platforms and pits etc. along with a number of linear ditches including what may be the remains of a later trackway. A small amount of excavation had taken place on the western side of the enclosure, and on interior and exterior features.
