Abstract/Summary
‘Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by Southern Electric plc to carry out an archaeological watching brief during works to replace overhead support poles for a 33Kv cable. One section of the proposed works was close to a site of potential archaeological significance at Pistle Down, Verwood, Dorset (centred on NGR SU 097 106).
The watching brief was undertaken on 12th November 1996. No features or deposits of archaeological significance were observed.'
