Abstract/Summary
The archaeological evaluation of Area B at Henbury Plantation was carried out in March 1993. The investigation comprised the excavation of a 1.9% sample of the available area using a mechanical excavator. A number of subsoil features, representing the position of post-holes, pits, gulleys and spreads of occupation material, was located in an area of c. 0.10 hectares. This area appears to represent the northern extent of an area of prehistoric occupation on the hilltop, dating to the Bronze Age and early Iron Age, which is known to extend to the south into Area C.
