Abstract/Summary
Report presents the results of an archaeological evaluation carried out by Wessex Archaeology at Lophill Farm, Langton Long in support of a planning application to construct a new dwelling.
Two machine-cut trenches, one of which was subsequently partially expanded. These showed that the site was traversed by a wide, shallow ditch of Late Bronze Age or Early Iron Age date. Evidence for nineteenth- or twentieth century terracing and quarrying was also found.
