Abstract/Summary
Archaeological recording was carried out by Terrain Archaeology on a small trench excavated through the northern end of ‘The Rings’, Corfe Castle (SY95588203) as part of the replacement of telecommunication cables by BT. The trench had been largely cut through the back fill of the original cable duct, laid in 1942. Only a very small part of the in situ bank deposits of the ring had been disturbed. No finds were recovered.
