Abstract/Summary
AC Archaeology carried out an archaeological evaluation at Whitfield, Pondbury Road, Bradford Peverell, Dorchester (SY673915) prior to construction of a new industrial building on, or close to the projected line of the Roman aqueduct. A single 21m long evaluation trench was excavated, revealing hard, untruncated chalk at its base, but no trace of the aqueduct was found. No pre-20th century artefacts were recovered.
