SDO12303 - Bottomcombe Quarry, Easton, Portland, Dorset. Record Survey.

Industrial remains of the late 19th and early 20th century quarrying and stone working at Bottomcombe Quarry were inspected and recorded. Despite much of the site having been cleared recently for public safety reasons, structures not identified in an earlier assessment (2003) and the principle building of the late 199th century works were identified and recorded. The report makes no interpretive conclusions or judgements per se, but together with the background research commissioned to support it, presents a record of the development, construction and layout of the works.
