Abstract/Summary
AC archaeology undertook an archaeological watching brief during groundworks for a residential development on the site of a former telephone repeater station at Bonnets Lane in 1995.
A deposit of black humic soil was revealed in the foundation trenches which extended to a depth of 1.6m. Natural clay and gravel lay below this, cut by three medieval pits.
