Abstract/Summary
'Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by Andy Cadle of Christchurch Borough Council (CBC) to undertake an archaeological watching brief as a condition of the planning consent (Planning Reference 8/07/0142) granted by CBC for land at the rear of 13 Wick Lane, Christchurch, NGR (415745, 092630).
The ground surface of the Site was reduced by 0.4 m across the whole area, and additional drainage trenches were cut into the exposed topsoil. Due to the depth of the overburden, no archaeological deposits were uncovered during the course of the groundworks.
The watching brief was carried out between the 22nd of March and the 17th of April 2008.'
