Abstract/Summary

‘An archaeological evaluation was carried out by AC Archaeology on the site of semi-derelict netball and tennis courts formerly belonging to Lord Digby’s School, Newland…The evaluation consisted of three machine-excavated trenches which revealed shallow post holes and a truncated pit of medieval date along the northern, Newland Street frontage…Additional evidence for extensive ground disturbance was revealed within the centre and to the south of the site.’
