Abstract/Summary
A thesis concerning the possible continuing production of pottery in SW Britain following the collapse of the Roman centralised economy in the 5th century AD. In particular a group of possible 5th century Black Burnished ware forms are identified (Greyhound Yard types 3, 18 and 25) and a possible post Roman oxidised fabric Q107, identified in Dorchester and Alington Avenue, may be produced in Dorset during the 5th century or later.
