Full Description
One of the most easterly sea forts in Lyme Regis stood on Gun Cliff throughout Blake's defence of Lyme in the Civil War and until early in the 19th century. (2) In Hutchins' time it was unarmed, but possessed five embrasures, which possibly accommodated five demi-culverins listed in 1715. (Shipp and Hodson 1863)
