Full Description

The site of a Medieval beacon halfway between Poole Town and North Haven Point is listed by H T White (number 2). (1)

The beacon is shown on the 1539 Map of Poole Harbour in the Cotton Collection of the British Museum (British Library Cotton MS. Augustus I.i.31). (2)

Topographically, the most likely position for this beacon is on the hill at Lilliput.
