Full Description
A detached house built circa 1936 for Mr Cullen, a Lloyds underwriter. It is of reinforced concrete with steel beams clad in whitewashed brick. It has a flat, tarred roof and hipped, blue glazed pantile roofs to the porch and roof shelter. The building is rectangular, set around a central internal light well. On the Poole Harbour front there is a projecting, single-storey loggia. The shelter on the roof is flanked by timber pergolas with white-washed canvas screens across them which have `porthole openings. The house incorporates fittings from the second class drawing room on the transatlantic liner RMS Mauretania. (1)
