A torpedo target driven ashore and now partly buried.

Full Description

Target associated with Whitehead torpedo works. Heavily constructed of bulks of timber, circa 30cm square, nailed together. Subsequently used as a pontoon by Sailing club. Abandoned after being driven onshore. Decaying slowly. Upper layer of timbers already very fragmentary. Two other layers of timbers visible above sand. Amount buried unknown. (1).
