Full Description
Beach defences, Mudeford, comprising two rows of anti-tank blocks visible on an AP from 1940. (1) At the east end of Mudeford Quay there were three pyramid topped anti-tank blocks. Other pyramid topped blocks continued the line in both directions parallel to the shore. No longer exist (2).
Two lines of Second World War anti-tank cubes are visible as structures on aerial photographs of 1940 at Mudeford Quay. The cubes extend from from north east to south west for a distance of approximately 185 m, then turn inland to the southfor a distance of 52 m. (3) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
