Full Description

Peat deposit recorded during a bore-hole survey. Borehole 1 recorded an 0.80m thick band of 'black and dark brown slightly sandy clayey peat' at a depth of -16.20 m OD below a 3.50 m band of a soft dark grey sandy clay below sand. At -16.50 m OD, hard blocks of decomposing wood and clayey sand patches were encountered. (1)
