A Dornier Do 17 lost off The Shambles, 4/1/41 (1)
In the sea off The Shambles German Aircraft, Dornier, seen to crash after being hit by A.A. fire, at 14.00 hours on 4th January 1941. Admiralty speed boat searched the area without success.(2)
Crashed in sea of Portland(3)

Saturday 04-JAN-1941. A German Dornier Do17 that was part of Wekusta 26. It was shot down by a Spitfire from Number 152 Squadron and crashed south west of the Shambles, Portland, at 2 p.m. (4)
