Full Description

A pond for keeping sea fish was built of very large stones on the beach under the 'Steamer' (the beached boat that gave Steamer Point its name), but it was swept away during winter gales. Also, there has been extensive coastal erosion here and any remains would probably be well below high water mark. The pond may have been associated with Highcliffe Castle. (1)
