An old quarry marked on the second edition OS map (1).

A post medieval quarry is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of fields to the east of Ferncroft Farm, Wareham Town (2). This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project and is still extant on the most recent Google Earth imagery.
