A rifle and revolver range, marked on the second edition OS map, the targets for rifle and revolver are marked, the rifle range is marked as 300 yards long. <1>

The rifle range is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s <5> at King's Pier Hollow. The structures of the range are visible over an area measuring approximately 300 m by 35 m. This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
