Full Description
Axe sited to Chesil Beach from OS 1:10000 1978) (Marginal) A Bronze Age axe from the pebble beach at Portland (Chesil Beach?) has a nearly square socket and narrow blade, 4 1/2 inches long. The core over which it was cast still fills the socket. In Evans Collection. <1>
