An old landing stage marked on the Ordnance Survey 25-inch map epoch 1 (1871). This may be the original pier at Bournemouth, opened in 1856 and superceded by a new pier opened in 1861. (1)

It is not marked on the 25-inch epoch 2 map. (2)
