A clay pit at the southern end of a brick yard in Springbourne, Bournemouth is shown on the Ordnance Survey 25-inch map epoch 1 (1871). (1)

By the time of the Ordnance Survey 25-inch map epoch 2 (1898), it is no longer depicted and the area formed part of Knyveton Gardens. (2)
