Full Description
Possible water meadows, Poole Harbour, seen on 2002 AP. (1)
A group of parallel linear ditches are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs south of Sandford Lane (2). They are considered likely to be the remains of water meadows of probable medieval to post medieval date. Similar features can be seen just to the north (MDO28739) and are likely to be contemporary. These features are still partially visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project (3). This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
