An old gravel pit marked on the first edition OS map (1) Also marked on the second edition OS map (2)

The pit described above can be seen as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946. The pit measures approximately 45 m by 26 m. (3) This feature was digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
