An old quarry marked on the first edition OS map (1) Also marked on the second edition (2)

Two post medieval quarries are visible as earthworks on recent lidar imagery in the area of the quarry described above, to the south east of Cuckoo Pound. The quarries are located on limestone and range in size, measuring 30 m by 11 m and 75 m by 21 m. (3-4) This site was digitally plotted during the South west Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
