An old quarry marked on the first edition OS map. Also marked on the second edition map.
The quarry depicted is visible as an earthwork on recent lidar imagery to the south west of South Barn (Channel Coastal Observatory 2009). The quarry is located on limestone and measures 90 m by 40 m. This site was digitally plotted during the South west Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
