Full Description
An old lime kiln marked on the first edition OS map (1). Also marked on the second edition (2).
A circular structure, approximately 10.4m in diameter, is visible at this location on aerial photographs of Gold Down (3). It is considred likely to be the remains of the post medieval lime kiln mentioned above. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
