Monument record MWX3993 - Post medieval chalk pit, Rings Hill, East Lulworth

Old chalk pit marked on the first and second edition Ordnance Survey maps. A pit is visible as an earthwork on Lidar imagery of Rings Hill. It is considered likely to be the remains of the post medieval chalk pit shown on the maps.

A pit is visible as an earthwork on Lidar imagery of Rings Hill (3). It is considered likely to be the remains of the post medieval chalk pit mentioned above. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
