Full Description
Old chalk pit marked on the first edition of the OS map. Also marked on the second edition. The pit is visible as low earthworks aerial photographs taken in 1946 and is still faintly visible on the latest Google Earth imagery. The feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
