Full Description
Old chalk pits marked on the first edition OS map (1) Also marked on the second edition map (2). Two pits are visible as low earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs (3-4). They have been completely plough levelled and visible only as cropmarks on the latest Google Earth imagery. The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
