Old chalk pits marked on the first edition OS map, also marked on the second edition (1-2)

The quarry described above in (1-2) is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946. The quarry measures approximately 27 m by 21 m. (3) These features were digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
