Full Description
A flagstaff on a square plinth on the East Beach at West Bay is marked on the 1890 25-inch OS map (1). Also marked as a flag staff on the 1902 map (2). The 1929 map shows the flagstaff with a small lookout on the south side of the plinth (3). The flag staff survived until at least the early 1970s (4), but had been removed some time before the later 1990s.
