Summary

Finds from the cemetery area north and north east of the temple at Jordan Hill include a number of objects, not definitely found with burials in some cases suggesting domestic or industrial occupation.

Full Description

The RCHM notes that some finds from the area of the cemetery to the N and NE of the temple at Jordan Hill are not necessarily from burial A and that some finds suggest domestic or even industrial use. These finds include, iron spear heads, , saddle and rotary quern-stones, chert and flint balls, a shale armlet and lathe turned armlet cores, a Durotrigian silver coin, three coins of the 3rd and 4th centuries, sherds of New Forest ware and others and pieces resembling salt-boiling briquetage.(1)
