Full Description

Stone bridge leading across moat to Charles II gateway dating from c. 1660, built directly on top of Civil War deposits. Solid stone construction with an integral central drainage channel 0.3m square one course up from its bottom. Its masonry abuts that of the gateway so it must have been built soon after the construction of the gate which bears the date 1660 (1)
