Summary

Country house in own grounds built in about 1775 to designs of John Crunden, by Isaac Buxton for his wife; the SE front and Drawing Room were reconstructed in the early nineteenth century, and there is a late nineteenth century conservatory. The main walls of the building are of yellow brick in Flemish bond, with stone dressings and some rendering, and it has a slate roof.

Full Description

Belfield House (Belfield Park Avenue, formerly listed under Buxton Road). Circa 1780-85. Evidently an important country house; designed by John Crumden. <1-3>
