Full Description

One foot step recovered from the remains of HMS P555. (1) HMS P555 sunk in 1947 as an ASDIC target. (2) A lease-lend US Navy submarine, ex S24, nominally returned in 1945 to its owners, was sunk as a Royal Navy asdic training target off Portland, being scuttled in 40 M of water. (4) Standing upright in 44 metres, with her deck at 38 metres she is still an awesome sight. She is totally intact, showing little deterioration. (5)
